On tonight's program Michael Collins Piper reiterated his position that the ongoing war in Iraq, which is turning into a giant cauldron of death and destruction that threatens America's position in the world, was based on a tissue of lies told by President George W. Bush and his neo-conservative pro-Israel allies; that while Republicans are blindlessly supporting the president, knowing full well that he lied, that Democrats, for partisan reasons, are now pretending to have been tricked into supporting the war, despite the fact that millions of people around the globe had free access through the Internet and through such independent voices as rbnlive.com and Americanfreepress.net (the internet site of American Free Press newspaper, published in Washington, DC, to the real facts all along. So both Republicans and Democrats are both at fault, largely because of the fact, easily documented through Federal Election Commission records, that pro-Zionist Jewish interests in America, acting through pro-Israel political action committees and through such powerful lobby groups as the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) of B'nai B'rith, have pressured or otherwise bought off members of Congress to support the demands of the Zionist lobby. Piper pointed out that one member of Congress, Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.) has dared to suggest that U.S. favoritism for Israel has resulted in setting the stage for further problems in the Middle East. Piper again urged Americans who want to stage protests to forget about picketing Congress and the White House but instead picket Jewish synagogues where supporters of Israel, those who fund the pro-Israel lobby, gather. Only by raising public awareness about the powerful pro-Israel forces that control Congress, through such picketing, will many more Americans come to understand precisely who is behind the engine of power that dominates the American political system. At the close of the show, Piper received calls from both Russell Pickering, who has been investigating the 9-11 attack on the Pentagon, and Matt Danner, the son of Sam Danner, who says that he witnessed the attack on the Pentagon. Danner's son disputes his father's claim to have been there at the time of the attack, but Danner Sr. has continued to insist that his story is true. Danner Sr. has been a guest on Piper's program on several occasions and Pickering has raised questions about Danner Sr.'s veracity, including pointing out that, according to his research Danner Sr. never had a pilot's license as he claimed. Piper expressed his feeling that he felt both Danners were sincere and repeated his own desire to "get to the bottom of things." Piper offered a forum for Pickering to join AFP correspondent (and RBN host) Christopher Bollyn to debate the Danner controversy.
